FAQ

Whilst the standard Transfer Bureau service is ideally suited to the majority of transfer situations, the platinum service may be advantageous in certain circumstances:

  • Where the scheme member is seriously ill and an urgent consideration of death benefits from the ceding scheme is required.
  • Where the case is urgent due to client timescales.
  • Where the increased fee is of no concern to a high net worth client.
  • Where a transfer has already been recommended and a report is required to "tidy" the file.
  • Pension sharing / divorce cases.

Benefits of the Platinum Service

  • A dedicated case owner will supervise each case from start to finish. A locum will be available in event of illness or holiday.
  • Immediate action for each stage of the process (standard service is normally between 2-6 working days).
  • The case owner will review each case weekly and chase up the Scheme for information if required.
  • Copies of requests issued to Schemes will be provided to the IFA.
  • Correspondence with the Scheme will be handled by phone and fax where possible rather than by mail.
  • If necessary, reasonable assumptions will be used to speed up the dispatch of a case.
  • Liaison between the IFA and case handler regarding the choice of product provider for both Personal Pension and Section 32 before the report is dispatched.

The Costs

Each report costs £355 + vat, which includes complete data gathering.
