O&M assists a number of IFA firms and Employee Benefit Consultants in Defined Benefit solvency exercises. These exercises
often include scheme inducements or TV enhancement exercises. Our service could be described as FRS17 consultancy in partnership
with intermediaries, actuaries, accountants and administrators to reduce deferred member liabilities and improve the company
Balance Sheet.
The service from O&M includes:
- The receipt of scheme and member data in a spreadsheet format.
- Data Validation: analysis of data for omissions and identification of anomolies.
- Bulk analysis, including the production of scatter graphs demonstrating the critical yield "map" for the whole scheme.
- As part of this process, a pivot table is created showing the critical yields in age bands.
- Further calculations to demonstrate the reductions in critical yields that can be achieved by enhancing transfer values.
- Back office administration of bulk data, production of bulk analyses and creation of files for mail merge and/or concurrent
population of adviser customer Transvas Profiler system (where rented)
- Although scheme consultancy can be undertaken in isolation, if required, customers can commission individual fully regulated
member advice from our specialist advisers.
