FAQ

O&M's Transfer Bureau is a service dedicated to the production of Transfer Value Analysis Reports. Simply instruct O&M to conduct an analysis and a comprehensive compliant report will be produced comparing the members pension scheme benefits to a Personal Pension or Section 32 Policy.

O&M have been producing reports on final salary transfers for more than a decade. Our market-leading report contains innovative features like the use of graphs to demonstrate benefits. It also illustrates the level of protection they may be entitled to under the new Pension Protection Fund.

Please take a few minutes to see why IFAs prefer to pay O&M to produce reports that could be provided free of charge from product providers.

Our Staff

Our transfer analysts represent a mix of staff that have been encouraged away from National IFA firms and others with a background in pensions review and scheme administration. O&M look for staff with an in depth knowledge of Final Salary schemes.

Using Free Reports

If you use free TVAS reports you must conduct all research with the scheme yourself to avoid a breach of the indirect benefit rules of the FSA. In other words, you should do all the work but rely upon your chosen product provider to produce the report from their system.

If you use free reports, do you use?

Why Use O&M?

Our Transfer Bureau spend all day every day dealing with transfers so you can be assured that the staff working for you are experienced and dedicated to providing you with the best possible service.

We charge a reasonable fee for a quality service. This fee is quantifiable to your client who should be happy to pay for a report from a specialist.

The majority of the large networks insist their members have an O&M report on file for every final salary transfer. These organisations recognise the quality or our reports, service AND above all consistency in conducting the analysis.

Use O&M every time and you will have the same style of report, no matter which product provider you decide to recommend; this helps you to develop a style of suitability letter that will be consistent for every case.

It is possible to select a different product provider for Personal Pension and Section 32 products; especially useful where your chosen Personal Pension Provider does not offer a Section 32 contract.

As we produce analyses we are building a library of scheme information. Much of this information can be used again, which continually improves the service we provide.
